A big congrats to four of our portfolio companies for making this year’s Inc 5000 List – LivingSocial (#15th), Resonate (#1302), Bigcommerce (#1241) and Everyday Health (#4153). Our investment philosophy is to hand-pick companies we believe have potential to significantly disrupt a market and as a result experience exponential growth, so we take particular pride in their accomplishments. From Resonate, which leverages big data to help businesses reach their ideal target audience, to Bigcommerce, an upstart that enables other entrepreneurs to set up their own online retail presence affordably and quickly, these recent investments are doing an incredible job disrupting their respective fields.
Washington, DC companies dominated the list this year with 327 based in the metro area, second only to New York. As longtime residents and boosters of the region, we’re ecstatic to see arbiters such as Inc 5000 recognizing the economic importance of the region and giving the emerging companies the credit they have earned.
