Washington, D.C. – August 10, 2016 – Today, Revolution LLC, the D.C.-based investment firm led by Steve Case, announced that Tracy Van Grack will be joining the firm as its Senior Vice President of Communications and Public Policy. Van Grack will oversee the creation and execution of Revolution’s communications strategy and advance the firm’s public policy objectives.
“Tracy’s background in finance and technology makes her a great addition to the team at Revolution,” said Revolution Chairman and CEO, Steve Case. “As we continue to expand our Growth and Ventures teams, grow our Rise of the Rest program, and explore new ways to promote entrepreneurship in the United States and around the world, we are thrilled to add someone of Tracy’s talents and track record to our organization.”
Van Grack joins Revolution from the Brunswick Group, a global communications consultancy, where she was a director focused on corporate reputation, public affairs, and crisis management, primarily in the technology sector. Senior executives at some of the world’s largest technology companies have relied upon her advice. Prior to Brunswick, Tracy worked in the Office of Corporate Engagement at Goldman Sachs, where she led strategic relationships and partnerships with multilateral organizations, government entities, academic institutions, and advocacy groups. She helped design and implement “10,000 Women,” the bank’s five-year initiative to provide 10,000 underserved women in emerging markets with a business and management education.
“Revolution is the leading venture capital firm in Washington, and I’m excited about joining the team,” said Van Grack. “As Revolution continues to grow and invest in companies around the country, I look forward to telling the story of how it is uniquely positioned to help start-ups and speed-ups navigate the many challenges they face, and promote Revolution’s thought leadership around public policy and regulatory issues impacting entrepreneurs in today’s economy.”
Tracy started her career as a corporate attorney at O’Melveny & Myers LLP with a focus on media and technology. She received her B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
